Selby shop now open
Saturday, 24 October 2015 | Joanna
This week has been really busy - we had deliveries from several suppliers - including some we have never used before. The shop has been transformed from the office space I visited back in September and with brand new cabinets as well as clever re-use of existing materials the whole Abbot's Staith team agrees the Counting House is now a really exciting place to visit.
We now have incense sticks and giftsets from The Mother's Incense, soapstone ornaments from TilnarArt, Christmas decorations from Vietnam, Nepal and the Philippines as well as new designs from our popular Kashmiri papier mache range.
We have tagua nut jewellery from Colombia as well as a wide range of Indian costume jewellery in our 3 for £12 mix and match.
There's an extended range of our recycled aluminium ornaments and we have a huge range of wooden and fabric toys.
We are proud to support Fairtrade pioneers so we have a range of Cafe Direct roast and ground coffees including Costa Rican, Kilimanjaro and best selling Machu Picchu. Our Liberation nuts range includes the new Nuts, Pear, Dark chocolate and ginger as well as Chiili and Lime and Habas Fritas. Divine chocolate is a brilliant company, half owned by the Ghanaian cocoa farmers who grow their cocoa. We stock two types of 40g snack bar and a range of 100g bars in milk, white and dark.
This is our opening weekend and we're giving away goodie bags to the first few customers so if you're near Selby come along and see us at The Counting House, 79 Micklegate, Selby YO8 4ED.
