We're always on the look out for great fair trade stories and they don't come much better than Just Trade.
Laura trained as a jewellery designer and visited Peru as a volunteer. There she found the amazing Zoe project which aims to create a market for skilled craftspeople in rural Peru.
Laura has been working with them for ten years and develops a new range each year which helps increase their skills - not just in making, but in design and marketing.
It's really important that fair trade jewellery design is seen as contemporary and exciting, and Just Trade are harnessing the ladies' existing skills, developing and nurturing them.
Because it's a partnership, the ladies can fit their work around the rest of their lives, working when they can - including on the bus - and they love working with Just Trade.
Since 2010 Just Trade has also been working with the Flowering Desert project in Tamil Nadu. These Indian ladies work on our cloud and bird earrings.
